SANES GAD CELEBRATION 2022
The month of March of every year is declared as National Women’s Month. With the theme “We Make Change Work for Women”, the celebration aims to emphasize women’s empowerment as active contributors to and claimholders of development.
In conjunction with the country’s celebration of Women’s Month, this school conducted activities which were initiated by the School GAD coordinator, Mrs Glendalyn P. Jacalne, together with the teachers and staff of this school. One of the activities is a Virtual Program conducted via Google Meet hosted by Ms Janel Encarnacion, a Grade One teacher. It started with a prayer, then followed by the singing of Nationalistic Song. Ms Charlotte Bautista, Grade Four teacher recited the DepEd Vision, DepEd Mission and DepEd Core Values. Mr Carlito T. Adducul, the School Head, gave his welcome remarks while Mrs Glendalyn P. Jacalne delivered the GAD message.
To make this virtual program more meaningful, Ms. Annabelle T. Rivera, a Registered Nurse, shared her expertise on Spiritual and Mental Health challenges. She emphasized that having a connection with God impacts one’s Spiritual health which results to having a sense of peace and meaningful ang purposeful life. Ms. Eugene Oshima, a Grade Three teacher gave an intermission number. Mrs. Rosemarie B. Pakingan,, a Master Teacher I discussed the implementation of the Magna Carta of Women also known as Republic Act 9710 which was signed into law on August 14, 2009. She expressed that it is a comprehensive law that seeks to eliminate discrimination against women by recognizing, protecting, fulfilling and promoting the rights of Filipino women, especially those inmarginalized sector. After which, a virtual game was played and prices were given to the winners. Mrs. Josenia S. Ariaga, also a Master Teacher I awarded the certificates to the speaker and also to the technical working group. Ms. Charlotte Bautista, presented a Tribute to the female teachers. Finally, Mr Joan Ching, also a Master Teacher, concluded the activity with his closing remarks. The activity started well and ended well with the active participation of all the teachers.
