ICT IN SCHOOL

Introduction

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is an accepted factor in all our lives and has a pivotal role to play in education. The unprecedented adversary brought by the pandemic had posed a great challenge in the delivery of learning across all students, parents, teachers and administrators. The appearance of ICT in education, as proposed by the Department of Education had allotted a substantial investment in terms of ICT facilities and trainings. ICT in education concentrates on the potential impact of ICT on teaching and learning and on the measures that need to be adopted to ensure that the potential of ICT to enrich students’ learning experience is realized.


ICT enables the use of innovative educational resources and the renewal of learning methods, establishing a more active collaboration of students and the simultaneous acquisition of technological knowledge. It is much easier for them to create team projects, cooperate and learn from each other. Aside from this, it has advantages such as:

MISSION:

San Antonio Elementary School in its desire to be a technology driven elementary school will:

  1. Continuously produce and update its technology infrastructure within its financial capability.
  2. Enhance and updates technological competence of the whole faculty and non- teaching personnel.
  3. Secure the interest, cooperation, participation and engagement of the external stakeholders specially the parents
  4. Ensure the technology integration in the school operations and services.

 

 

GOAL:

  1. Procure and updates technological tools and resources through various internal and external sources.
  2. Provide/enhance the ICT skills and competence of all personnel both teaching and non-teaching personnel.
  3. Develop and nurture the interest, cooperation and participation of parents, in the integration of ICT in the implementation of the curriculum.
  4. Develop an information system in the management of school operations and services.
